“Medicine and faith have always been central to my life. Both my parents came to Christ in China through American missionaries and then went to medical school where they met. They fled China and were missionary physicians in Malaysia where I was born. The Lord led our family to the United States when I was very young and I grew up in the mid west (Peoria, IL) completing medical school and training in pediatrics, critical care, and anesthesia. I accepted Christ when I was a child and knew that I wanted to be a Christian who is a physician and not just a physician who is a Christian. To that end, I moved to Phoenix after completing my training to work as a pediatric intensivist and to begin ministry to medical professionals, equipping them to share and integrate their faith in the context of medicine.
